The Minnesota Vikings have signed CBs Tye Smith and Nate Hairston, and OL Jesse Davis.

Tye Smith was on the Vikings' roster last season, he spent most of his time on the practice squad, but played in five games and tallied six total tackles during the season. Smith was originally drafted by the Seahawks, but he played for the Commanders and the Titans before coming to the Vikings.

Nate Hairston played in Denver under current DC Ed Donatell.  Although he spent most of his PT on special teams, Hairston also saw limited time in Donatell's defense, he managed to rack up six tackles. Hairston has been a journeyman in his early career but he brings an competitive energy to a cornerback room that struggled in 2021.

Jesse Davis appeared in 72 of his last 80 games with the Dolphins in five years. He spent his first couple of years playing at guard and then switched to tackle this past season. Davis will most likely compete for with G Oli Odoh for the starting position but will also be backup to starting tackles Christan Darrisaw and Brian O'Neill.

Minnesota has been one of the busiest teams in free agency this offseason, bringing in GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and HC Kevin O'Connell to compete for the foreseeable future. It's not guaranteed if any of these players will remain on the roster, but the new regime has done a good job by bringing in familiar faces and setting a standard to a locker room/team that has been in dire need of a change.
